Meet our dog:
Nami

Description
Nami is an intelligent, sensitive, and people-oriented female dog who loves closeness and actively seeks human contact. Physical affection and being included in everyday life mean a great deal to her. In daily routines, Nami shows how easy and pleasant she is to live with: she is house-trained, sleeps through the night (a late sleeper included), travels well by car, and copes well even in busy environments when given clear structure.
Nami is truly eager to work. She is attentive, smart, enjoys learning tricks, and loves being active together with her people. Basic commands? No problem. At the same time, she is also able to switch off and relax. A wonderful balance.
In social interactions with other dogs, she is very refined: friendly and confident. She sets boundaries when necessary, but always in a fair way. Being left alone on her foster home with resident dog Linda is not an issue. Children are also no problem.
Nami does have hunting motivation, which is not surprising given her breed mix. We assume she was used for hunting in Portugal; typical scars on the insides of her legs suggest this. Outdoors, she is strongly oriented toward her surroundings. However, she is usually responsive and can be guided back into orientation again and again—an encouraging sign that should definitely be built upon.

Desired environment
For Nami, we are looking for people who are eager to build structure and guidance, enjoy lots of cuddling, and take pleasure in working with her. We can absolutely see her with motivated first-time dog owners who are willing to consciously engage with the topic of sighthounds/hunting dogs and are prepared to stay committed and consistent.
