Our cheerful senior Nielson had to leave his home because his owner became seriously ill. This was a very difficult break for him, as he had a home of his own his entire life and was clearly a deeply loved dog. That trust in people still lives on in him today.

Nielson is a little ray of sunshine: open, friendly, and full of affection. He adores people, loves being carried, and immediately places his trust even in strangers. His gentle nature and loving character make him a truly special companion.

Despite his age, Nielson is still happily on the move. He walks well on a leash, shows interest in his surroundings, and enjoys new impressions. He handles encounters with other dogs in a friendly and curious way, and dog interactions clearly bring him joy.

When Nielson came to us, he was not in a well-groomed condition. In the meantime, he has received excellent medical care: his vaccinations have been updated, a dental treatment has been carried out, and all his blood values are within a healthy normal range.

Due to his age, there is a clouding of the lens nucleus as well as early signs of cataracts. At present, this does not affect his vision; it is only visually noticeable as a slight cloudiness of his eyes. In addition, his spine shows mild signs of spondylosis, which do not cause him any pain and do not diminish his joy for life.

Nielson is a small senior with a big heart, who longs for nothing more than a loving home where he can spend his golden years feeling safe, cared for, and deeply loved.
