Meet our dog:
Pinha

Description
Pinha came to us by a roundabout route. She was taken from a state shelter into the care of the Tierhilfe Hoffnungspfoten team. At that time, she was extremely fearful, and adoption was out of the question. But she began her journey — very slowly, very cautiously, yet clearly in the right direction.
That is why we were asked to support her. The closeness of our pack, the protected setting, and the calm environment are doing her a lot of good. Day by day, she is becoming more open and curious, daring more, showing interest in her surroundings, and seeking contact with people. You can sense it: someone wants to arrive. And she is beginning to understand that life can also be kind.
In her interactions with other dogs, Pinha is very social. She orients herself strongly toward them and draws a great deal of security from their presence. There are also no issues at all with cats or our farm animals. A confident resident dog would certainly be beneficial for her, but it is not a requirement.
Pinha needs a calm, stable home with people who are patient and experienced in working with insecure dogs. People who don’t celebrate quick progress, but honest progress. People who don’t expect her to “function,” but who are willing to walk her path together with her — with time, compassion, and an open heart.
Because there is great potential hidden within this quiet little dog. A structured daily routine with clear patterns would be ideal, and her new people should be loving, patient, and experienced in handling sensitive dogs. A confident resident dog would be very welcome by her side and could be an important source of support on her journey into a new life. Anyone who is given the chance to accompany her will receive something truly special in return: the trust of a being who has never given trust lightly.
