ARE YOU INTERESTED IN
AN ADOPTION WITH MIMO.DOGS?
HOW WONDERFUL! HERE'S ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW. STEP BY STEP.
Taking in a dog is a wonderful and fulfilling experience. It means giving an animal in need a second chance at a loving home. This is precisely why this decision should be made consciously and thoughtfully.

A dog brings joy, love and liveliness into your home, but it also brings responsibility. It is important to remember that most of these animals have not always had it easy and have experienced a lot in their past. They need time, patience and understanding to feel comfortable in their new environment and to gain confidence.

Please consider carefully whether you have the time, energy and patience to look after an animal. After all, a dog is not a short-term project, but a long-term companion that will enrich your life in any case if you give it the attention and love it deserves.

ONE REQUEST IN ADVANCE...
Before we go into the details of adoption, we would like to ask you to pause for a moment and think about what it means to take in an animal.

That's why we've put together the most important points to think about before you make the decision to adopt a dog. If you can answer YES to all of these points, we would be delighted to hear from you and will be happy to guide you through the next steps.

Be open and transparent with your situation and honest with yourself, this is the only way we can find the best match for you and avoid frustration on both sides.
Last but not least: Please note that our entire team works on a voluntary basis. Each of us has a family, a job, our own animals... in short, a life of our own. in short, a life of our own. Please treat our time with care and respect and only start the adoption process once you are aware of the points below.

TAKE RESPONSIBILITY
You must be aware that an animal needs years of care. This includes not only daily care and nutrition, but also regular visits to the vet, training and exercise. You are responsible for the animal's welfare and must be able to make this commitment both emotionally and financially.
PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING
Animals that have experienced a lot in their past in particular need time to get used to their new home. They may be anxious or suspicious at first. Patience and understanding are essential to help them gain confidence and feel safe.
EMOTIONAL
STABILITY
It is important that you yourself are emotionally stable. Animals can sense stress and uncertainty, and it's crucial that you can provide them with reassurance and calm during difficult times. If you are going through a stressful time yourself, it can be difficult to provide this stability.
TIME & DEDICATION
An animal needs a lot of attention and time. You must be prepared to sacrifice a lot of your free time to look after the animal, keep it occupied and build up a strong bond.
CHANGES
IN EVERYDAY LIFE
A pet brings big changes to your everyday life: you have to adapt to its needs - through regular walks, playtime and care. Clarify important questions in advance: Are pets allowed in your home? How will care be provided while you are at work or on vacation? Do you have support from those around you? Be honest with yourself about whether you can and want to take on this responsibility.
LONG BINDING
An animal is not a short-term project. The bond with an animal extends over many years. You must be prepared to make this long-term commitment and accompany the animal through every phase of its life.

After the preliminary inspection, we will meet as a team and decide together whether all the requirements for adoption have been met.
If everything fits on both sides, we will draw up a protection contract for you and your future furry friend.
ADOPTION CONTRACT
03
In order to provide our dogs and our adopters with the best possible protection, we draw up a contract with our adopters before the adoption. This also includes the amount of the protection fee, which we determine individually before the adoption.
This is an important part of financing our work and covering the majority of the costs we incur in caring for each animal we take in, preparing for adoption and transportation.
This is the only way we can ensure that we can continue our work and help many more animals to find a new home.
04
PROTECTION FEE
The nominal fee helps us to cover the following costs:
Medical care of the dogs: Before the dogs can be adopted, all our animals are examined and tested for Mediterranean diseases. If not already done, they are neutered and all necessary vaccinations are given before they leave the country. Parasite infestation is also prevented
-
Food, maintenance of the enclosures and runs, transportation costs for the transfer to the new home
-
All active members of the association work 100% on a voluntary basis.
05
TRANSPORTATION & ARRIVAL
As soon as the signed contract is returned to us, we discuss the further details of transportation and arrival.

At regular intervals, we organize the departure of the animals and their transfer to their new home. We work together with a well-known and trustworthy transport company that brings the animals to Germany under the best possible conditions.
We also have a number of foster homes in Germany that take in dogs before they are adopted. In these cases, the dogs can be met on site and picked up there in the event of adoption.
